Quirky LA beatsmith Jonwayne joined the big leagues (in our strange opinion) when he signed to Madlib’s totally rad Stones Throw records. We’ve been paying close attention to Jonwayne since his early days mixing hip-hop beats with oddball digital textures in a spacious, left-of-center package, These days, he seems to be focusing more on his (pretty good) skills behind the mic (for example, check out his recent collaboration with Jonti), but his first Stones Throw release is a release of his strictly-beats Doodles.
