Lo-fi pop funk trio Phedre describe themselves as “three lovers from Monaco, raised in a cave of gold.” And we’re inclined to believe there story is a lot weirder than that. On the first we’ve heard of this band, “In Decay”, we find a wonderful, strange collision of funked bass, lazy keys, hippie jam band guitars and affected 80s pop vocals. We’re pretty stoked to hear this groups self-titled debut, due February 14th, and we have a feeling none of the songs on that album are going to sound anything like “In Decay”.
