Whirr set to debut with ‘Pipe Dream’ LP

San Francisco grunge gazers Whirr are preparing their debut LP, Pipe Dreams, for a March 13 release via Tee Pee records. We like this bands layered, distorted approach to droning grunge pop with melodic vocals and scratchy sunlight mixed in for balance. We’ve been listening to their 2011 EP, Distressor, and we’re pleasantly surprised at how fresh their 90s-inspired textures come across. Also, it’s very cool how they manage to forge a quick emotional connection with their blurred vocals and sloshing guitars. Hear for yourself…

About down.caster

Downcaster(s) is not a music critic, he's a music fan. So he usually doesn't talk about music from a "you should listen to this because it's moving art forward" perspective. He likes the "you should listen to it because it kicks ass" perspective.
