It’s been six years since visionary underground hip-hop producer J Dilla died from from some weird blood disease (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purport), he would have been 38 today. You may not know his name, but you’ve heard his work. He produced stuff by Se La Soul, Slum Village, Common, Ghostface Killah, A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, The Pharcyde and the list goes on. Here’s one of his all-time bangers, and one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all times, “Won’t Do”…
Happy Birthday, J Dilla
